Outlook South West is currently seeking qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapists. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in both our core IAPT & LTC teams or to work exclusively in one of the teams. The role will be providing high volume, high intensity assessments, interventions and management of caseload. Interventions will be a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based approaches for mild to moderate depression and anxiety disorders within primary care. 

If working within the LTC team, the post holder will work as part of the Healthy Outlook Team, which is a newly commissioned IAPT service. The objectives of the service are to integrate care with Physical Health Services to improve physical health outcomes for service users with Physical Health conditions and Mental Health conditions.  

A key component of the role will be completing Step 3 assessment and treatment sessions with service users who will be directly referred to our team from Physical Health services. The role will be diverse and you will be ideally lead on a designated Physical Health Condition (Diabetes/Cardiac/Respiratory) which you will be able to give guidance on to Physical and Mental Health Practitioners and PWPs in supervision meetings and clinical skills. You may be required to provide supervision and attend meetings with Physical Health Service Teams. You will also be responsible for gaining specific measures for outcomes and liaising with the physical health teams to integrate service user care.
